Peter Davey BA (Econ) MA (Econ)
General Manager
Peter Davey is a Health Economist with more than 25 years’ experience working in the health sector. Before becoming a health economist, Peter worked in banking, with roles in economic research and strategic planning. In 1995 he co-founded M-TAG, which developed into Australia’s largest health economics and outcomes research consultancy, with offices in Sydney and London and 45 staff. M-TAG was acquired by IMS Health in 2005 and after this he managed the IMS Pricing and Market Access Practice for Asia Pacific and Japan. Peter’s expertise encompasses a broad range of techniques used in health technology assessment and economic evaluation, including health services and policy-based research, pharmaceutical pricing and economic evaluation. Together with his special interest in the use of evidence based medicine and economic evaluation in health care reimbursement he has developed expertise in pharmaceutical pricing and policy. He has spoken at a wide range of international conferences, published widely in the Health Economics literature, teaches health economics at the University of New South Wales and was a member of the Steering Committee for practice research under the Fourth and Fifth Community Pharmacy Agreements. He is the General Manager at Illuminate Health Consulting.
Ryan Davey BEcon
Health Economist
Ryan has been with Illuminate Health Consulting since 2015, after studying at the University of Sydney and completing internships in the Market Access Group at Novartis and at Illuminate Health Consulting. Ryan has worked on a number of economic analysis models and budget impact models for PBAC and MSAC submissions, particularly in liver diseases and in diabetes. He has also built global models for international clients, as well as model adaptations and assisting with local reports for Korea, Taiwan, Japan and China.
He has also worked on supplementary studies for submissions such as surveys of clinicians and Time in Motion studies. His expertise is mostly in economic modelling for PBAC and MSAC submissions, global models using Excel and STATA, pricing and various techniques in economic modelling.
Sahan Amaratunga BSc BBus
Pricing & Data Analyst
Sahan has completed a combined Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Business degree at the University of Technology, Sydney, majoring in biomedical science and marketing. At Illuminate, he works on the pricing and budget impact models for PBAC, MSAC and Prostheses List submissions, as well as various other PBS pricing related projects and market access reports.
Sahan also manages Illuminate RED, our proprietary PBS data tool, where he carries out regular updates, performs demonstrations and offers training for subscribed users. Using Illuminate RED, he has generated a number of reports for pharmaceutical companies on PBAC outcomes and decisions, providing insight to industry on the success of submissions and the time taken for PBS listing for new molecules.
Gonzalo Peralta Bsc (Hons)
Health Outcomes Analyst
In his role as a Health Outcomes Analyst at Illuminate, Gonzalo draws upon his medical and scientific background to complete Health Technology Assessments projects that provide market access solutions for a range of clients, including pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Gonzalo’s expertise covers PBAC submissions and the Health Products Portal, Prostheses List applications and the PLMS, as well as post-submission management, secure data management, conducting expert opinion surveys, and medical writing and editing. He is experienced in critically assessing the safety and efficacy of treatments through systematic reviews of clinical study data and published literature, as well as conducting direct and indirect statistical analyses of comparator products.
Gonzalo graduated from University of New South Wales with an Honours degree in Biotechnology and conducted research for the School of Medical Science at the Lowy Cancer Centre.
Oktowon Kinsong BCompSc
IT Lead Developer
Oktowon has over 10 years Australian experience in web development using PHP and its frameworks. He received his Bachelor of Computer Science in 2000. Working as part of the Illuminate team, Oktowon uses PHP, SQL and various website programs to develop our proprietary programs Illuminate RED and Illuminate Green.
Sarah Campbell BAdvSc MRes
Health Outcomes Analyst
Sarah studied at Macquarie University where she completed an Advanced Degree in Biological Science and a Master of Research. In her role as a Health Outcomes Analyst at Illuminate, Sarah performs literature searches and systematic reviews of clinical trial evidence to determine the safety and efficacy of treatments and prepares PBAC submissions for novel therapies.
Grace Portolesi
Government Affairs
Grace Portolesi represented the South Australian House of Assembly seat of Hartley from 2006 to 2014 for the Labor Party.
Previously the parliamentary secretary assisting the Attorney-General, in 2010 Portolesi was appointed Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation, Multicultural Affairs, Youth and Volunteers. Portolesi was appointed Minister for Education and Child Development in 2011, a position she held until 2013. From 2013 to 2014 she was the Minister for Employment, Higher Education and Skills, Minister for Science and Information Economy, and a Member of the Executive Council.

Graily Aldridge BSc (Hons)
Graily is an honours graduate from the University of Sydney, with majors in Anatomy and Histology. She undertook her degree course part-time, initially holding a Cadetship in Medical Physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Westmead Hospital. More recently, she has worked in an IVF laboratory, where she investigated the effect of cryopreservation in mouse embryos for her honours project. Since graduating Graily has worked as a clinical embryologist. Graily brings her expertise to conduct systematic reviews of epidemiological and clinical evidence to Illuminate Health Consulting.
Corinne Le Reun BEc MSc (Statistics)
Statistician
Corinne has over 10 year experience in the field of biostatistics, health economics and outcome research. Corrine graduated from ENSAI (France) with a Masters in Statistics, majoring in Biostatistics, and also holds an economics degree (BA) from the University of Rennes (France). After working in Paris, she joined M-TAG (now part of the IMS HEOR group) in Australia in 2001. She was appointed Biostatistics Manager in 2006 and was in charge of the management of all the statistical projects for both the Australian and European offices. During her time in Australia, Corinne was involved in numerous national and international health economics projects such as submissions to reimbursement authorities, burden of illness studies, multi-country conjoint analyses, meta-analyses and indirect comparisons and price defence studies.
